I've got a thing for Halloween collections. As in, I hoard them.
I've been hanging on to this Witch Hazel collection for over a year and finally decided it's OK to use it. I paired it with Sideways Chevron and Creepy Crawlies cut files from The Cut Shoppe and came up with a non-scary Halloween page.
And then I misspelled leopard.
I took the photo at Miss Q's Halloween party at preschool last year. You can't really see the costume all that much, but we know it's a Halloween pic!
The Indigo Hills collection from Pinkfresh Studio is gorgeous. I'm a little late to the dance using this collection, I've been up to my ears in projects due and haven't had time to just make stuff for the fun of it.
I used two cut files from Clique Kits for this page, the photo frame and these lovely florals.
Of course I had to do a bit of stitching ;) both hand-stitching and with my machine.
I love this washi by Pinkfresh. It's so pretty!
Cute pic of my DJ girly by Tracy Perrett!
As per usual, I focused on one main area of the page and kept the rest relatively simple. I kind of love working this way, I don't feel pressure to embellish the -ish out of my pages.
Hello! I have another layout share using the October kits from Gossamer Blue. For this page I used the Rosey Posey cut file from The Cut Shoppe, cutting it really big, then hand-stitching all around it. Yes, it took what felt like forever. And YES, it was worth it ;)
The base of the layout is two papers from the Maggie Holmes Gather collection. I adhered them together and then machine-stitched. I kept the rest of the page rather simple so all the sewing stands out.
I embellished with the Gather ephemera pack, adding some black and white ribbon from my stash to tie in the photo and the XOXO, which also doubles as my title.
It's my last post for Hip Kit Club.... I've had a blast and really enjoyed getting to do some DT work for another kit club. This has been a great experience and I am so grateful to Kimberly and Kim for choosing me to do a spot.
